During the late forties, after the completion of Glassalen, Tivoli’s Architect in Chief Poul Henningsen used our little private dining room as his personal studio. This little adjasent area at the front of the restaurant was once The Blanche Bar, 'the' bar for mixed cocktails, Champagnes and maybe the odd Martini or two (shaken, of course.)
We now use the area as a private dining room and conference room. A closed off and completely private room, with a curtained view of the Tivoli gardens and the main open-air stage. The room is delightfully quiet and most still. High to the ceiling with glass panelling and white timbering, large original lithographs by the Danish artist Per Kirkeby hang together with Poul Henningsen’s sketches.
The room can seat ten comfortably for dinner. For smaller conferences or presentations a few more places can be organised. The food and wine within the room can be designed upon request. From light organic breakfasts and meeting arrangements - to short, precise business lunches. Private wine tasting during the afternoons followed by a dinner fit for a ... the Queen.
